Dr. Allison Nicholls
“Having worn braces twice as a teen (and yes, I swear I wore my retainers!), I’ve experienced firsthand the impact orthodontics can have on someone’s life. I truly love working with patients to create beautiful smiles and boost their self-confidence—a confidence that can positively ripple into many aspects of life.”
Dr. Nicholls was born in Newmarket, Ontario, but her adventurous spirit took her across Canada and Europe thanks to her family’s military background. She completed high school in Comox, British Columbia, which she considers her hometown. A dedicated military professional, Dr. Nicholls served as a Dental Officer in the Royal Canadian Dental Corps before pursuing her passion for orthodontics. She has been training in dance (tap, ballet, jazz, etc.) since the age of 3 and is a passionate Disney adult, with a goal to visit every Disney Park in the world. She also enjoys gymnastics, traveling, and is fluent in French.
Dr. Nicholls earned her Master of Science in Microbiology & Immunology and her Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) from the University of British Columbia (UBC). She further her dental training by completing a three-year specialty orthodontic program and earned a Master of Clinical Dentistry (MCID) at Western University. Throughout her academic journey, Dr. Nicholls received several awards, including the Pierre Fauchard Academy Foundation Annual Scholarship Award, the BC Society of Orthodontists Charles C. Craig Memorial Scholarship, the Lindsey O. Kesling Orthodontics Resident Scholarship Award, the Nancy Murray Prize, and the Douglas and Linda Beaton Award.
